UNEMPLOYMENT RATES

In May 2015, Maryland's unemployment rate remained at 5.3%, the same as April 2015, and lower than the national average of 5.5%. Despite national economic stresses, employers in professional and business services, education and health services, and leisure and hospitality reported employment gains over the past year.
