In Cecil County, the Department of Public Works operates and maintains County roads, water and sewer systems, and road construction and inspection. The Department also procures land needed for the construction of roads, bridges, drains, utilities, and solid waste projects (County Code, secs. 87-1 through 87-7).
Under the Department are seven divisions: Administrative, Development Services, Engineering and Construction, Roads, Solid Waste Management, Water and Wastewater, and Weed Control.
