The Task Force on the Establishment of Vocational and Technical Education High-School Academies in Prince George's County was created in July 2007 (Chapter 520, Acts of 2007). The Task Force considered the needs of Prince George's County students who do not finish high school or pursue higher education. Further, the Task Force examined whether these students are being prepared for meaningful work and citizenship with the curriculum offered in Prince George's County schools.
Authorization for the Task Force ended on July 31, 2008.
