Chair and board member, National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Board member and past chair, Hot Line for Youth, Inc. Award of Life Membership for Outstanding Service, Maryland Association of Engineers. Outstanding Public Official Award, American Subcontractors' Association, 1979. Engineer of the Year Award, National Society of Professional Engineers, 1984.
