President, City Union of Baltimore, 1988-96. Field representative and lobbyist, Baltimore Teachers Union, 1997-2003. Delegate, Democratic Party National Convention, 2008. Past member, Baltimore City Democratic Central Committee. Member, Trinity Circles Ministries Church, Hanover (secretary & special events coordinator). Married; five children, eight grandchildren.
